Women
The VCFA is passionate about growing female participation in football and is excited to have three divisions within the Women’s Competition:
- Women’s Premier League
- Women’s Division 1
- Women’s Division X
The Women’s Premier League consists of highly skilled and competitive teams, while Division 1 and Division X are suited to teams that want to play a more social standard of football or are still developing towards the premier league.
Developing Women's Football
The VCFA is working with clubs to holistically develop Women’s football and expand our competition. This includes:
- Creating a pathway for junior girls to progress to seniors, with the establishment of Under 8s, Under 10s, Under 12s, Under 14s and an Under 16s junior girls competition
- The introduction of the Women’s Summer Sevens competition
- Selecting highly skilled and talented players to compete at the CFFA National Tournament each year as our Victorian Women’s Representative Team
- Celebrating our female players with a Women’s Round and other initiatives.
